How to Prep for Your Luxury Picnic

Yay! You booked your luxury picnic!! Now what? The anticipation is eating at you and me both. So, while we wait for the day you settled on to finally arrive, I thought I’d outline what you can expect.

I start working on the plans for your picnic as soon as you book it so please either email or text me if you have any updates along the way. I always accommodate where possible.

Ok, But First, Happy Dance

Seriously, after you’ve finished your little jig there are a few things to consider and confirm. If you might want any add-ons or personalization, start taking note of that. These aren’t listed on the site because each is so unique but I can design individualized flutes for toasting, keychain thank you’s, and typewritten notes. Depending on quantities, design, and availability, some items need more time. The earlier you reach out the more likely I can pull this together for you.

I want the process to be smooth, and for you to just be able to show up! But that means we’ve got to work together in planning.

If you have not confirmed allergies or dietary restrictions, now is the time. When I send you your follow-up email you’ll want to reply with these types of changes. I will make adjustments and we can make new arrangements if need be.

Your receipt will include payments so far (and any upcoming monies due), as well as contact information if you need to reach me. All of your picnic’s info will live in your portal so don’t delete these emails, they will help you gain access until your picnic.

One Week Before Your Luxury Picnic

About a week before your picnic there is just a quick checklist you may want to run through:

  • Guest list: have there been any changes to the number of people expected? Did you have any personalized gifts that you haven’t given names/notes on yet? Does everybody know what’s expected of them?

  • Payment: Your final payment is due two days before your picnic so you want to be sure you have properly planned for that. If you did not select Auto-Pay at booking you will be required to log back in and submit final payment.

That’s it, that’s the list. Is two items technically a list? It is today.

I will be checking the weather often to see if there is any rain (or unreasonable heat) expected a few days out. In the event of inclement weather I will reach out to you to confirm a backup location. If you did not list one at booking we will need to discuss moving your luxury picnic indoors somewhere nearby or possibly rescheduling for another available date.

The Day of Your Luxury Picnic

When I setup your picnic I will shoot over a photo and the location for exactly where it is via text message. Feel free to bring any extra items or food you may want to.

I am happy to snap a few photos of you [and your guests] before I leave you to enjoy your luxury picnic. Just let me know. If you’re alright with me tagging you in photos please also share your Instagram handle.

I will breakdown the picnic when your time is up, so just grab your things and head out! We wouldn’t want anything to happen to the furnishings so please do not leave the picnic unattended at any time.
